The point of Valentina is to break the cycle of poverty in families. It is not enough to help children stay in school, the entire family needs help.

Valentina has therefore developed a program called “One child, One solution” that takes place in Casa Valentina, a house in Ferentari (the slums in Bucharest):

• an after-school program where children can do their homework
• payment of pre-school fees for selected families
• help to qualify for and find jobs for the parents
• improving personal and general hygiene by providing washing facilities (washing machines and showers)
• donations of food and clothing
• improving homes by rebuilding roofs, redoing bathrooms...

In the future and with your help, Valentina Romania will be able to extend its support to more families. Any form of assistance, volunteers, financial and material aid makes a difference for Valentina Romania and so for the families.
