At Valentina Romania, we are dedicated to supporting children and families in vulnerable situations, providing not only immediate assistance but also the tools they need for a better future.

Through the "Casa Valentina" Day Center, our team of specialists, and numerous volunteers, we manage to support around 100 children and 80 families each year from the Ferentari neighborhood.

Our intervention is based on six essential pillars, each playing a crucial role in the development and integration of these children and their families into society:

Homework support

To prevent school dropout, 40 children come daily to Casa Valentina, where they receive homework help and educational support. In addition, they take part in recreational and sports activities designed to foster their creativity and boost their self-confidence.

Pre-schooling

We help 60 children between the ages of 3 and 6 to attend kindergarten, providing them with access to a cafeteria, school supplies, and educational materials. Thus, we prevent educational exclusion and ensure a good start in life.

Hygiene and health

At Casa Valentina, children have access to bathrooms for personal hygiene, and families can use the washing machines. We also provide psychological support, helping children overcome trauma and emotional difficulties.

Professional training

Adolescents receive vocational counseling, are guided in discovering their skills, and benefit from educational and career orientation, facilitating their access to internships and employment opportunities.

MIA Tailoring workshops

Through the MIA Tailoring Workshop, mothers from the community learn a trade and gain financial independence. This program offers them the chance for a stable career and supports their social reintegration.

Home improvement

We provide support for home renovation, ensuring access to electricity, running water and gas. We improve the living conditions of families, so that every child can grow up in a safe and healthy environment.
