The Valentina Association filled the hall on Sunday, January 14, 2018, screening at the French Institute in Romania the magnificent documentary film by Xavier de Lauzanne: “« Les Pépites ». This was the opportunity for our association to wish a good year, through the voice of 6 children of the House, present in this hall, and to collect donations from the French-speaking community in Bucharest - children, teachers, the management of the French high school!
Despite the capricious weather conditions, to promote the event, the association's volunteer team managed to mobilize 180 people in one week for a noble cause: to discover the fabulous human adventure of a French couple who went to Cambodia to save 10,000 children from the Phnom Phen warehouse!
From primary school to vocational training, everything was thought out by the couple with kindness and determination.
The meeting was punctuated with shocking testimonies, disturbing images and messages full of hope. At the end the film, the emotion could be read on the faces of young and old alike.
Education to build a better future, this is the goal of the Valentina Romania Association. Thank you to all the participants for the support and thank you to the French Institute for the welcome!
