On this Universal Children’s Day of 2017 ( November 20) the Ambassador for France in Romania, Mrs. Michèle Ramis unveiled the exhibition of photographs made by the children of the “Casa Valentina” at the French Institute of Bucharest.
Now for a second consecutive year, thirteen children from the Valentina Association took part in a photography workshop led by two professionals: Dana and Andrei from ANAV (Asociaţia Naţională pentru Arte Vizuale Contemporane). Educating about the arts and developing the children sensibility towards their value is an integral part of Valentina’s educational program.
It is not always necessary to go to the end of the world to make beautiful photos.”Beauty is everywhere around us, you need to learn to look differently”. This is the message of Dana and Andrei. During a dozen sessions, our young artists explored their city and were introduced to the various artistic criteria that enter into the composition of a photo: the light, the structures, the colors, the movements…
Playing with all these elements of instant captures, they transport us through their universe in this exhibition, which you can visit until December 4, and then between December 12-14 at ANAV.
Many thanks to the Cooperation and Cultural Action Department of the French Embassy with whom this extremely rewarding experience for the children has been made possible.
Framed prints of these photographs are available, for inquiries please contact Gabriela Gheorghe.
